I have a new MacBook Air, M1, 2020, Big Sur 11.4. When I plug in my Apple USB SuperDrive, Model A1379, all I get is a window that says, USB Accessory needs power. Connect Apple USB...to a USB port on this Mac. Works fine on my older Mac. Support said the new software must not be compatible with the SuperDrive. Anyone run into this?

Thanks for your help on this. I bought an adapter and hooked the drive directly to the computer instead of through a hub and it worked.

I have an Apple Super Drive and it works fine but I have seen this warning with other hardware that I have tried to connect to my MBA M1. I would try another USB-C to USB-A adapter or try flipping the adapter over.
