apple tv

Just finished updating my apple tv HD to the latest OS where the apple tv remote was definitely before hand

After the update, the remote no longer worked, tried pairing but apple tv won't pair. There's nothing wrong with the remote as it pairs with other apple TV's I have.

I reset the apple TV HD but still won't pair with the remote or any other apple TV remote. After the reset, when I press the centre but, it sees the remote but just won't pair.

Please advise, thanks.

What is your model remote? Identify your Apple TV remote - Apple Support

If your Apple TV remote isn't working - Apple Support

Verify that the battery is charged.

If there is physical damage (even if only on the inside), then the remote will have to be replaced.

Restart your Apple TV box once more for good measure. Then try again.
