I don't get notifications for, nor can I see in Wallet, transactions made by an Apple Card Family participant

Despite having notifications turned on specifically for a participant (my son), I haven't received any. I also can't see any of his purchases in the Wallet app. I get notifications for my wife's purchases and can see them in the Wallet app, but she's a co-owner.

I feel like this is a problem outside of my control. Anyone else seeing this with Apple Card Family?

I have learned that Apple Card participant transactions will only appear in the PDF statements at the end of each month. What?!??! This combined with notifications not working properly means I won't know what my son is spending until the end of each month. LOL. What a terrible rollout.
