Face time in mac air

Although I have input all the details in my apple id it says following when I try to open facetime "This account has no reachable addresses. Please sign in to appleid.apple.com to add one." I am pretty sure it has my email and phone number in reachable addresses. Anyone encountered the same problem or can guide me, please?

setting up FaceTime on my MacBookPro While setting up FaceTime and logging in with my apple ID, I receive the message: "This account has no reachable addresses. Please sign in to appleid.apple.com in order to add one." What is a reachable address? I have an appleid. Does FaceTime require you have an iPhone to have a reachable address?

Have you logged into your Apple ID and added extra contact email addresses in the Reachable At section?
