Why find my Friends does not get Always option in Location Services anymore?

Recently I noticed that the location accuracy of Find My Friends has become VERY POOR. My wife or kid locations could often be off by a few km! I did some research and some people said check whether the Location Services has been set to Always. Then I noticed that the Always option is not available at all. I suspect that is the reason why the location accuracy was so poor. Any idea?? Apple please fix this!

we are all on latest iOS 13.6

You’re looking at the wrong indicator for the issue you’re addressing.

The relevant indicator is Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Share My Location, which is always “on” (or “off”).

Apparently this issue was fixed in iOS 13.6.1

It’s always on like you said. So why is the accuracy of Find My so bad for that device?

Just an additional observation.

I believe that Share My Location option might not be related to Find My because even if I purposely turned it off I could still see my location in Find My?
