2020 MacBook Pro does not recognize Apple Superdrive
I have a new 13" MacBook Pro running Catalina. I have an Apple Superdrive that works on two older computers that are running Mojave. The drive works on both of those computers.
I connect the drive to the new computer with a VAVA hub. If I do this when the computer is running, the computer returns this message "USB Accessory Needs Power. Connect Apple USB Supper Drive to a USB port on this Mac."
If I restart the Mac with drive already connected to the Mac, the computer does not return any message and it does not recognized the drive.
I assume this an operating system problem. Does Apple have any intention to fix this? Or does Apple now consider DVD's to be extinct?
