I want to know if the noise cancellation feature suppresses background noise, but allows the wearer to better hear a person sitting across the table from them in a noisy restaurant. This is a problem I have--I frequently cannot hear someone sitting right next to me because of other noise in the area. Or does noise cancellation only allow you to better hear what's playing through the AirPods?
How in the world would your AirPods know the difference between a conversation across the table and any other noises? It's all just background noise to the AirPods in which the noise cancellation is just so you can better hear what's coming through them.
You speak as if it's unheard-of (excuse the pun) technology. It's not. I was wondering if Apple had considered it and included it in the AirPod Pro.

As the AirPod Pros are not really intended to replace hearing aids, I'd guess not.
