My mail notifications on Apple Watch suddenly started to say, "This message has no content." If I open the mail app itself, I can read the whole message (so it's there), but when the notification comes up that mail has been received, I get only the error message that there is "no content." The notifications used to work fine until about two weeks ago. Is there any fix for this problem?

I would suggest you reset your Watch. Press the crown and side button in untill the Apple logo appears. Also Check your Watch is updated to 5.2.1and your iphone is running ios 12.3.1. Finally Unpair your Watch and repair it.
