Facing Landscape mode issues in Mail on iOS 26

To read an email with smallish print, prior to upgrading to 26, I rotate my phone and have full screen of the mail in landscape mode. On 26, instead of full screen I get split screen with a folder list on the left and cannot read the mail. Annoyingly, if when in landscape mode I tap the button to eg forward the mail, I get a full screen display of the reply + forwarding options.

This did not happen on IOS18!!!!!!

Can anyone advise if there’s a setting I need to change to accommodate this ?

I don’t like the “glass” update, I am unable to read emails in landscape mode without folder panel, I don’t like the new interface for searching websites and trying to back out of search bar.

The iOS Mail app doesn’t even appear in the list of iOS apps on the support page. How is one supposed to report a bug?

And how does one report a bug on the support page itself?

Just updated to 26.1 and still this landscape issue has not been resolved.

I think you need to explain this better. If you actually read the original problem report you would see that it’s about Mail.

never happened before ios26. no practical use whatsoever. I used landscape with full view all the time but now I have to zoom and scroll in portrait to read any small text email. put it back

The landscape issue on the 17 Air is so stupid. Apple give users the choice to see their emails in full landscape. I feel confident the known one needs to see there in-box. Easy fix so fix it..
