Dear community,
under macOS 15.6.1 (24G90) on a Mac Studio, the Mac refuses to open files (eg. a pdf written by my—legally used and up to date—InDesign) and warns about alleged malware. The same Mac opened that same file yesterday without hesitation, and the file hasn’t been altered since.
Would anyone know what is going on here?

if you’re not required to use VPN, then uninstall it & test.

Hello James, thanks, that's a comprehensive and useful list. I thought it might be good though to additionally find out what causes this in the case of a .pdf file that I created myself.
