Uninstalled apps still using data on my iPhone 16 Pro
Hi all,
Can someone please help me answer this question? It's one I've asked before, but haven't gotten a clear answer to. I've recently moved out of my parents' house and for the time being, my internet is provided by my phone's personal hotspot. As a result of the increased data usage, I reset my usage statistics late on the evening of moving day. Since then, my phone has only been connected to wifi for about 18 hours, so I have a pretty good idea of what's using my data, not that it was much different when I had regular wifi access, just the numbers are quite a bit higher. This includes the amount of data used by uninstalled apps, which is a number that makes no sense. Why are uninstalled apps even using data in the first place? If I had uninstalled say Facebook since the reset, I would expect that the amount of data used by Facebook would then be moved to the uninstalled apps section, but I have not uninstalled any apps since the reset. The amount of data used is only 1.5 MB, a fraction of the total used, but I'm trying to make sense of why any data is being used at all.
