Suspicious text claiming Apple Account charge on iPhone

I received a text saying that I had a charge on my Apple account and to call if it wasn’t me…is this a scam

Very likely yes. Apple does not send texts regarding charges.


Unless you actually see a charge on your payment method if you have any associated with your account, the purported charge and the text are likely fake.


You can also check ay charges on your Apple account, by going to Settings ➜ Account ➜ Media & Purchases ➜ View Account ➜ Purchase History.


You can forward it to apple at reportphishing@apple.com.

Yes it is. You can also confirm by looking at your financial/bank transaction, or looking at your apple account to see if there are any transaction.

Hopefully you didn't call or click on any link and provided personal information
