MacBook Pro 14" (M3) Dead – Service Center Suggests Paid Repair Due to Alleged Liquid Damage
Hi Apple Support and Community Members,
I’m Gaurav , a student from a rural area in Bhopal Madhya Pradesh, India. I received a MacBook Pro 14" (M3, 2023) through my college under a bulk order. Recently, the device suddenly shut down and only shows the Apple logo briefly, then turns off again.
I took the MacBook to NGRT Systems, Bhopal (Authorized Service Provider). They were unable to perform internal diagnostics initially, and later claimed there was liquid damage. They suggested touchpad will be covered under warranty, but for the motherboard, they gave a repair estimate of ₹56,300. 😓
However:
I never spilled anything on the device.
Apple Support told me that based on their re-evaluation, it still qualifies only for a paid service, and no goodwill repair could be approved.
I want to get the device checked by a 3rd-party repair center to understand the issue better and possibly post here for community insights.
My background:
I come from a humble village.
My father passed away, and I have no source of family income.
My college fees were arranged by mortgaging land and support from relatives.
This MacBook is my only tool for studying computer science and preparing for a better future.
I’m kindly requesting:
Has anyone faced a similar issue with alleged liquid damage and received goodwill repair?
Is there any trusted 3rd-party repair center in Bhopal where I can get an honest inspection?
Can I escalate this to Apple with further documents or proof?
🙏 Please help. This MacBook is my only hope to continue college, and I cannot afford to lose it due to something I didn’t even cause.
Service Center: NGRT Systems, Vidya Nagar, Hoshangabad Road, Bhopal, MP
Job Sheet Date: 13 June 2025
Thank you Apple Support and everyone in the community or your time and guidance.
