Macbook Pro M1 14-inch Blurry Display and Blue Screen

My Macbook Pro M1 (14-inch 2021) was still functioning well a few days ago and all of a sudden, it shut down. After a lot of restarts, I’m just stuck with a blue screen and a blurry Apple logo. I called Apple Support and they scheduled me an appointment to one of their service centers here in the Philippines. Mind you, I bought my laptop March 11th last year and it’s just so disappointing that I paid $2000 for this only to find out it would give up on me after a year. My service warranty expired just two weeks ago and so the service center quoted me about $900 dollars if they found out that there’s an important part needed to be replaced after the diagnostic. Shocked by how much the repair fee is, I went ahead and called Apple Contact Support again and luckily one of the senior advisors named Ryan from Australia granted an extension of my warranty and repair coverage. However, this morning the service center called me up again to tell me that my warranty and repair coverage is already voided because they found a “corrosion” inside that caused the display and flex cable to act up. I have never ever spilled anything on my device. It’s well taken care of. I always make sure to place it in a cool and safe spot at home. The service center technician also told me it could also be the air condition that caused moisture inside the device. Please please I really need further assistance. I am still a working student and I paid my very first laptop in full amount with my own hard earned money. And it truly breaks my heart for it to give up this early, just one year in of using it.

Sound like a hardware issue, take it.

Hard to dispute their findings, if you do not agree escalate up the chain of command in Store—that is the best you can do.

Trade it in if you do not want to proceed with the repair. Warranty work is typically 90 days only on parts and labor.
