RCS is not working while on Wi-Fi on my iPhone 14 Pro Max

RCS messaging isn’t working when I’m on my WiFi. When my WiFi is turned on, my messages will send as SMS. If I turn off the WiFi, then my phone will allow RCS messaging again. Sometimes when I first get home, RCS messaging will work a few times while on WiFi. But at some point, it will switch to SMS. Is it something to do with my WiFi connection? Does anyone have any advice or is this just normal? It’s annoying having to switch back and forth, when I’d prefer to just RCS message.

My 14 Pro Max is fully updated to iOS 18.5. My WiFi works for downloads and streaming just fine. I’ve restarted my phone and network settings, my service is through AT&T.
