M4 Macbook Air track pad double clicking

I just bought this macbook and when I press with a little bit of extra force the track pad clicks down once, and then clicks down again. so essentially the trackpad is double clicking

I have a MacBook pro, the kind that has a slider (sorry for my lack of professional vocabulary). MacBook Air Trackpad Doesn't Click Trackpad stopped clicking immediately after the laptop fell to the floor from a table. Since then I can only double tap instead of clicking. Trackpad only moves down slightly when the bottom corners are pressed but nowhere else. I recently replaced the battery and the trackpad still doesn't click. Looked through the trackpad settings and found nothing unusual. What else can I try to fix it?
