iPhone 13 calls not coming through connected Oticon Real hearing aids

I have done everything that was said to connect hearing aids to iPhone 13. Everything connects but when I answer my phone the conversation doesn’t come through the hearing aids

Wondering where you were seeing "everything that was said" Google / Hearing-Aid Manual / Apple ?

____________

Seems Oticon Real X* is the only compatible Oticon Real model listed as being compatible with iPhone, Pad and Mac.in Apple's List of Made for iPhone hearing devices - Apple Support

______________________________

If your hearing aids are a compatible model: See how to: Use Made for iPhone hearing devices - Apple Support

Eg says: "When your hearing device is connected to it, your Apple device can control microphone level (volume), audio presets, and more for your hearing device. Find the settings here:

  • iPhone or iPad: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices.
  • To see more settings, tap the name of your connected hearing device.

_____________________________________________________

Else: If your hearing-aids are not an iPhone-compatible model:

you may need to rely on bluetooth, and an up-to-date app from Oticon for control.

Apple support's article :While on a call on iPhone - Apple Support may help

Eg; says:

"When you’re on a phone call on iPhone, you can switch the audio to the speaker or a Bluetooth® device."

ie: "swipe down on the call banner",

Talk handsfree: Tap the Audio button, then choose an audio destination". (your hearing-aids)

_______________________________________________________________________________________

Another Apple support article: Use hearing devices with iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says :

"You can also automatically route audio calls to a hearing device."

Note: Keeping the iOS version installed on your iPhone up-to-date, (wise to back-up first if updating) and

also keeping the firmware (and or app if used) on the hearing-aids up-to-date, can help avoid difficulties.

All the best :-)
