cannot import music from CD to MacBook Air

i can no longer import music from CD to MacBook Air M2 under Sequoia 15.5. The CD does not mount, nor is it seen in the Music app. True for several CD readers and cds.

Importing CDs onto my MacBook Air I have a MacBook Air. I also have hundreds of CDs, I would like to copy some of my CDs onto my lap top which has no CD drive, could someone please explain in very simple terms what I need to buy to enable me to transfer music from a CD onto my laptop? I am a total novice with computers, and not very tech savvy! Thanks

How to transfer Music using the Apple USB super drive I purchased an Apple USB Super Drive on May 4, 2023 with the purpose of copying some of my old music CDs to my computer. Worked fine initially, but then occasionally it would spit the CD out with a message that it couldn't read certain files. I then inserted the CD into an old Macbook Pro with an internal CD drive and there was no problem. Wondering if anyone else has these issues? NB: The Apple USB Super Drive is plugged directly into my Mac Studio, not into a hub. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
