Why can’t I add or clone an NFC tag on my iPhone 16 Pro Max?

I have an NFC tag to open a door, and the 16 pro max.

And there is no way of adding that tag to my Iphone without using third party app?

Android in 2010 started to incorporate nfc tech.

Apple followed in 2014 with iPhone 6. 2025 and I still cannot add a simple nfc tag and replicate it to open a door?
