Meta and Flash during text, occasional, distinct

A distinct flash is noticed while texting in the background occasionally while using messenger.

It seems that it started happening when I changed a setting to store messages to my device rather than their cloud. Is it still saving them to their “cloud” anyway?

If this is the case, which it seems to be, it most certainly requires an update for FB Messenger App, and if it’s an iOS thing saving to the device in the background, that’s giving me the flash???

Then we certainly need updating for our iOS sanity!
