How to manage Safari custom preferences after iPadOS 17.7.7 update?

After updating to IOS 17.7.7 on iPad gen6, the safari startup page defaults to all preferences on. No matter which you turn off, the next time you launch safari the preferences are all back on.

i have deleted all history and caches, shutdown and even I’ve erased the entire iPad and reinstalled from backup. And issue repeats any other suggestions?

iPadOS 17.7.7 has a number of significant issues - many of which you will find described within recent threads in this Support Community.

Apple has withdrawn the iPadOS 17.7.7 update pending release of a fix. While Apple has not issued a timescale, you might reasonably anticipate that a revised update will be released sooner rather than later.
