Availability of Apple Pay in Pakistan?

I recently purchased an iPhone 16 Pro and noticed that while Google Wallet has just launched in Pakistan, Apple Pay is still not available here. I'm wondering if there's any official information or timeline regarding when Apple Pay might launch in Pakistan.

Apple devices are widely used here, and many users would greatly benefit from access to Apple Pay. It would be great to know if support for Pakistan is planned in the near future.

Has anyone heard any updates or seen any announcements related to this?

I don’t believe Pakistan banking regulations permit Face ID authentication yet. Apple does not have a public timeline for availability in Pakistan.
