i got this issue when i updated my software versi to the latest which is iOs 18.5 whenever i screenshot stuff that has letters in it purple marks form around the letters, when i look at small text too it has purple marks around them, my iphone 11 pro is new and i have only used it for a week.

The iPhone 11 pro was discontinued in Oct 2020, your phone is at least 4 1/2 years old, not new.
Chances are whoever sold it to you knew of this defect and that's why they sold it.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have it diagnosed.

Yes, that goes to show it’s a hardware issue with the screen. See the link provided by Kurtosis.
It seems like a legitimate store, but I have a hard time believing they had a 5 year old unused phone for sale.
Either way, there is hardware damage. If you want it fixed, you need to take it to an Apple store or authorized service center for repair.
