Why am I not receiving Family Link app approval notifications on my iPhone?

I cant get any notifications on my phone when my son wants to add a new app ? i have set the family link correctly but have to use his phone to add the app by entering my password when prompted I just set up my sons new iphone14 with all parentel controls but i am not getting any notficiations on my hone when he wants to add an app and i have use his phone to add it with the password i set up ?
