approve child's request to download app

I'm not receiving the notification when my daughter requests to download an app on her iphone, I have a pixel. Where would the notification appear on my phone? It is not showing up in my gmail and I do not have the family share app.

My kids ask to buy notifications not coming through on my new iPhone 12 Since I got a new iPhone 12 I no longer get the ask to buy notifications when my kids ask to buy. I have notifications on, banners on, all settings are the same in family sharing and allow notifications in all settings and I am signed in to my Apple ID everywhere. So frustrating

As mentioned in the article below, you can approve a request on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or a Mac.
