Pages has begun deleting the first word following any paste. It selects and highlight the next word when I select the gap between words to paste. I’ve tried adding an extra space but this doesn’t always work either. Mac and iOS. Super annoying!
How can I stop this?

Try just single-clicking exactly where you want to paste—don’t double-click, since that’ll select the whole word. If the next word still gets highlighted, just tap the arrow key once to move the cursor. It’s not perfect, but that usually does the trick.

Omg 😂. I’m using a laptop. I’ve been left clicking ‘one finger’ to select the space then right clicking ‘two fingers’ to select paste.
When I just right click on the space I want to paste to, and hit paste, it’s fine. 🤦♀️. So simple. Much appreciated.
