How can I turn off the calls feature in CarPlay using hearing aids?

How can I turn off the calls feature in CarPlay? When I make or receive a call it automatically overrides my Bluetooth hearing aids and routes the call through my stereo causing feedback in my hearing aids. Is there a disability or adaptive function or feature I am missing somewhere?

call routing iphone 14 accessibility I have iphone 14, ios 17.5.1. For years I've had the ability to select my hearing aids when a call is coming in. This morning that was not a choice. In it's place was "ipad" which I don't use and I never had it on any list. My iphone is connected to my HAs via bluetooth. No issue there. But the HAs are not on the list either to select when the call comes in NOR are they on the list when I go to Settings/Accessibility/Touch/Call Audio Routing. I can't figure out why the aids on not on the list in the Settings nor on the list when the call comes in. I can't hear the caller without that feature. Can someone please help on this? Thank you.
