Request for Refund - Accidental Renewal of Duolingo Pro Annual Subscription

I am writing to request a refund for an accidental renewal of the Duolingo Pro annual subscription, which was recently charged to my Apple ID. The subscription was automatically renewed without my intention or awareness, and I did not mean to continue the service for another year.


I have not used the Duolingo Pro features since the renewal, and I would greatly appreciate it if you could process a refund for this unintended charge. Please let me know if you need any further details to assist with this request.

Subscriptions always automatically renew and it is up to you to cancel the subscriptions to prevent any further charges. In most cases transactions in the App Store are final, since you have already agreed to those terms, but at times Apple may provide a compassionate refund. It should never be expected though.


The same is true for subscriptions services offered by other companies too, such as Netflix. I pay monthly for my Netflix subscription whether I watch any of the shows or not and will continue to pay until I cancel. There is no refund option.
