Logic Pro Vintage B3 patch stops working when I click play.
In Logic Pro, I am able to assign any of the MIDI instruments to a MIDI region, audition sounds and record MIDI data via my keyboard.
However, I have an issue with the Vintage B3 Organ and all of it's presets. Once I assign it to a MIDI region it will initially generate sound, but as soon as I hit play or record the sound stops working. I can confirm Logic is receiving and recording MIDI note data in the piano display and the LCD at the top of the interface. If I select a different B3 preset, the sound comes back, but again stops as soon as I enter play or record modes. Its odd that I can initially hear all the B3 patches, but only ONCE after a new patch is loaded. If I hit play or record, all the B3 patches no longer produce sound.
I have successfully used the B3 patch a few times already, and never had an issue with it. If I load up older projects, the B3 patch works as expected. However, NEW projects all have this issue with the B3 patch.
This does not happen with any other MIDI patch. I can load any other MIDI patch, hear it during playback, record, and even playback MIDI data that I recorded when the B3 patch was loaded.
I am new to Logic, so I presume I may be doing something wrong. I reset MIDI drivers, but as all other MIDI instruments work fine, I doubt that was an issue. I have created new MIDI tracks and new projects, but to no avail. I have rebooted Logic, and my keyboard (Novation Launchkey), but it does not change the situation.
Q: Could there be something I have accidentally set in Logic that is conflicting with ONLY the B3 patch?
Q: Is it possible that the B3 organ patch is some how corrupted? Can it be re-installed?
