Purchase Migration Not Working Due to Apple Music Library
I think I have had 4 chats and 2 phone calls with Apple Support about this and I keep ended up at the same result. Apparently, if you have EVER had an Apple Music Library on both of your accounts, you are not eligible for migration. I deleted all of the music library from my secondary account a couple of months ago but I keep getting the error.
I have been holding out hope that support has just been incorrect and that I will be able to migrate my purchases. Old remnants of an Apple Music Library seems like such a silly reason to not allow a migration. To be honest, I don't even care about any of the purchased music. I just want my ~400 movies that I have purchased.
Since most of us that have two accounts are from the old MobileMe days, I feel like Apple is not supporting their legacy customers. Support teams only seem to have the same information that we see online, they read it to me verbatim from what I see on the support site. I don't really understand the point of escalating to a "senior advisor" if they just search support.apple.com for answers.
Excuse my venting, this has been an extremely frustrating situation. Has anyone else experienced this and found a way around it?
