macOS Safari switch profiles while sidebar is open

Hi everyone,

I finally wanted to give Safari’s Profiles a go. In the past I’ve used OmniWeb which had something similar called Workspaces iirc. I made keyboard shortcuts to easily switch between them.

Now back to Safari: If I enable profiles and create some I can switch between them using the mouse. But this only works when I hide Safari’s sidebar, because the option disappears otherwise.

Is there any way to move it out of there? I have the sidebar enabled at all times usually for my reading list, so disabling it every time I want to switch profiles would be very tedious. I could live with (and even prefer) a keyboard shortcut instead, but since profiles do not seem to have a menu item this seems not possible.

PS: Editing Safari’s menu icons does not work. They all wiggle and I even can drag the Profiles item to the right, but it will revert to its position when done.
