I have a big music library of mp3 files that I organised in playlists / albums etc…
is there a way to lock the library temporarily so that no one can move or delete songs by accident?

The Music app does not have any locking or passwording beyond what is on the phone or computer. Not sure who "no one" is in your question, but hopefully you can find a way to keep their hands off the device. Also, please make sure you have a separate backup of that "big library" just in case.
