my car apple car play is messed up since I did the up date
was working fine b4 the up date

I did everything re set the network settings, turn the phone off

The only vpn I have setup is the private browsing built into iOS.
I have a Subaru Ascent 2021 and my CarPlay hasn't worked problems since the update. It's very frustrating because I relay on Maps.

In settings select Bluetooth then select the Info icon of your vehicle in My Devices. Under Device type and select Car Radio.

Since I updated to the 18.4.1 my phone does not connect to any of my car play devises, that is both wireless or via cable, all my CarPlay devices are useless now!

18.4.1 on iPhone 16 pro max broke 2024 BMW CarPlay. Will not connect.screen message says incomparable Bluetooth.
There is up date and it’s still not working !!!!!!!

After much trial and error came across a thread saying that turning off VPN on iPhone (in my case EXRESSVPN) can solve the problem - and it did! Now CarPlay works fine.
I was hopeful this would work for me, sadly no. IPhone 14 Pro Max
