How to transfer playlists from an old Mac's Music library to new Sequoia?

The library is still on my old Mac but I don't know how to save it and transfer it Just migrated from a Calalina Mac to a new Sequoia and the bought part of my Music library transferred but the 100 plus Playlists I

this may not be the best method, but whenever I download new music, I always drag songs from the music app and drop them onto an external drive as a form of redundant backup. and if I need to reload songs to music, I can drag them from the external drive and drop them into the music app. that could be one way to move songs from one machine to another.

I do have a lot of them downloaded on to iPods, iPhones etc and indeed that was the reason I uploaded them in the first place. I am still hoping there is a simple way to transfer them all on to my new Mac.

transferring from Mac to iOS devices is straight forward. but going from iOS devices to Mac, while doable, is a bit more complicated. I don't have the knowledge on how to do that, but i'm sure someone else here will be along to help you with that.

If all the albums bought from the Apple Store came over with the Migration Assistant why didn't the others?
