Apple Music app not opening and volume control not working on iPad

My Apple Music app will not open and disappears every time I try to open it. Also my volume control is not working. Help!

Apple Music app still broken, despite new 17.1.2. App freezes after a few minutes. 17.1.1 broke Apple Music, but in different ways. I start to play an album on my 6th gen iPad, and the app freezes in the first song. I need to restart the app. Seriously, Apple, can't you get your own app to work with your os?
