Apple Music app still broken, despite new 17.1.2. App freezes after a few minutes.

17.1.1 broke Apple Music, but in different ways.

I start to play an album on my 6th gen iPad, and the app freezes in the first song. I need to restart the app.

Seriously, Apple, can't you get your own app to work with your os?

iPad, iPadOS 17

I think it was broken for me since the iPad os17 update. With every update I am hoping apple can fix it…..but nope. Still broken.

i have erased the Apple Music application. I have restarted the device. I have reloaded the application. When I add music it blows up when I play it.

the behaviour is random. The app has a good day and a bad day. When it is having a bad day. It is time to give up.

I don’t think they have any developers working on this at the moment. I wonder if the staff at Apple actually use this app? I guess they are all too busy with TikTok and Spotify that they haven’t noticed. So, just in case here are my notes, one developer to another….

1) it appears as if the freeze of the application is due to a network fault. The application is busy accessing the internet for something, never gets a reply and takes forever to move on. So it doesn’t.

2) deleting the app and reloading the app doesn’t help. Restarting the app and/ or the iPad doesn’t help. This suggests that the bug is in the app itself or perhaps there is some corruption in data the app uses which is not cleared when the app is deleted and reloaded.

3) the app has a higher chance of crashing when the internet is busy. Therefore I think there is a network communication fault.
