How do I prevent apps from overriding volume settings on iPhone 12 mini?
iPhone 12 mini, OS version 18.3.2
Is there a way to actually force the volume slider to stay muted regardless what apps dictate?
Because I tried:
- sliding the volume down all the way until it's muted (icon with a strike)
- switching on the physical silent mode button
- turning on focus mode
None of these settings prevent an app to change the volume slider on their whim.
What I can see the app did is:
- turn up the volume slider
- play sound
- turn volume slider back down the to original setting (in my case muted)
I don't want this. If I'm sliding my volume all the way down, I'm telling my phone to STAY silent.
Some of the apps I have, they don't even make any sound even when I'm sliding the volume up IF the silent mode button is switched on. That's the behavior I want, not apps being able to change the volume control on their own.
