You can keep Chrome as the Default Browser

You just need to remember that in an URL in an email

Keyboard, Control and click the url ( Secondary Click )

It should present a Sub Menu like in image below

"Open With " >> Safari, Firefox or Chrome 👍

Set the Default Web Browser to Safari or Firefox or Chrome

Change the Default Web Browser to Safari and report back
