I am unable to drag music from my MacBook Air to my iPhone

I can drag images between my Mac and my phone using the mirroring app. However, I am unable to drag music from my Mac to my phone. Some sites assure me this is possible. However, I have tried and can’t do it. Does anybody have a solution to this problem?

Where on the iPhone are you trying to drag it to?

You cannot add it directly to the Apple Music app, but you should be able to drag music into a folder in the Files App or another media or file manager app on the iPhone through the iPhone Mirroring App.

This is expected behavior to prevent piracy. Adding Music to the music app on an iPhone from a Mac still requires the traditional Sync.

I am using the mirroring app on my Mac. I can drag jpeg's from the phone onto my Mac Home Screen. But I can't drag songs from Music into the mirroring app. No matter really, the app doesn't appear to do a lot anyway. I'll stick to syncing with a cable.

As I said, you can drag music through the mirroring app, but you need to have a supported App opened on the iPhone. You cannot drag it into the iPhone's Music App or directly on the Home Screen, but should be able to drag into the iPhone's Files App.
