Imported video flashing in Final Cut Pro

I imported video from an SD device. Video plays fine on the camera. For some reason, it flashes from video to black every one or two seconds - steady. I can't seem to watch the video on FCP. Same in the timeline - almost like it's the video. Filmed in HVEC.

FCP turning footage black and white I'm editing using some footage shot by a camera man. The footage is fine when I play it in quicktime however when I import to FCP and into the timeline the footage in the viewer turns black and white (and exports as black and white) and sometimes it is lime green.. The cameraman has edited some of the same footage in premiere pro with no issues, so just wondering if anyone knows what the problem might be? I have attached some screen shots..

Final Cut Pro Share Operation Failed Long video, about 90 minutes with two timelines from two cameras. The top timeline is broken into lots of little clips, the bottom timeline is the base view from the main camera. I've done several long videos like this without a problem but now I keep getting the message that the operation has failed (see image). I've tried removing the transitions on each of the smaller clips and removed the effects presets. I've also reset the preferences and removed render files. This latest version, at 1080p took at least an hour, but at least it finished. I'd really like to restore those transitions and try again. First I thought I'd ask if there's a quick cure. I'm using a trial version of FC Pro.

Photobooth video corrupt Hi there! So whenever i film videos on photobooth, i feel like im playing roulette with whether or not they'll corrupt. I can't tell if they're going to turn out with a grey screen or be completely fine until i finish recording. It just happens randomly. This is what it looks like: Please help! i have some really important videos and i dont know how to get them back.

What are the specifications of the video (frame size, frame rate, codec, etc.)? What are the timeline settings?
