Messages not working on Mac since upgrading to Sequoia 15.4

I updated to Mac OS 15.4 yesterday and suddenly messages won't sync with my iPhone, send, or receive messages properly. Some messages go through as text/sms instead of iMessages, most don't go through or come in at all. I thought I was able to solve the problem yesterday after repeatedly logging back into iCloud and rebooting my computer, but today the problem resurfaced.

I have already tried logging out of Messages, signing back into iCloud, disabling Private Relay, rebooting my computer, pressing "sync now", and verifying all the settings on my phone and iCloud account (including Text Message Forwarding) are correct. Nothing seems to fix it! I have looked for a Messages-specific software update in the App Store but there doesn't seem to be any.

Off-topic, I also had to disable notifications from the News app on my computer after installing the update yesterday because I am getting multiple notifications per second about news articles published last year.

I had this same issue after updating to Sequoia the other day. Unable to send any messages as iMessage.

But it's fixed now after I logged out of my iCloud account on my macbook and logged back in. The settings look a little different, as if they've been updated, and the messages are sending now as iMessage. So my hunch is that there was an issue with the OS update that glitches when the user is logged in to iMessage and it won't properly update the Messages app until you log out and log back in.

It took me a few tries to log back into my iMessage, it failed a couple times and I was worrying I had made the situation worse. But a few minutes later I tried a third time and it works fine, and now everything's working again.

Didn't you READ. He has done all that lame stuff and not working. I am having a similar issue that face time and messages all sing out after a few seconds and ask me to sign in. I have three Mac and they are all doing the same thing and Nothing, I mean NOTHING works!!!!! Tried to see if I can get apple on the phone but the links just keep leading back to the same garbage web site of Do this or do that and no solution as I know it must be something with my account yet my phone, which I did not update to the latest bug maker, oh I am sorry, Bug fix does not have this issue.
