Current model iPhones support Bluetooth Low Energy, so that question shouldn't be a concern. From my research that means the LC3 Codec would automatically be supported as a result. On the subject of Codec, your hears would have to be beyond amazingly trained if you could honestly hear the difference between Codecs anyway. As long as your Codec is Lossless, that should be more than good enough. I'm a classically trained musician, with nearly perfect pitch. I own headphones costing over $1000 and still, I cannot discern any difference between different lossless codecs. It's academic, yes. But in the real world, is academic important if you can't honestly hear a difference?
As to Auracast, we can't know if iPhone itself will support Auracast, but I already have earbuds, which do, which are the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 (their newest and most advanced earbuds). Personally, I think having headphones which support Auracast, makes more sense. But what Apple thinks or may have planned, we couldn't possibly know. Also keep in mind that Auracast is very new and very few places broadcast Auracast Notifications. That is after all, what Auracast is for. Like at Airports or sporting venues, where you'd like to hear a notification, when you're listening to music.

On a final note, if you think buying an Android is a better option for you, by all means buy one. We aren't Apple. It doesn't matter to anyone here on this user to user only forum what phone you choose. Those kinds of threats, fall on deaf ears here. 🤨
