Immediately after installing ipadOS 18.4 the Home Bar no longer works. I have tried restarting the iPad multiple times.
Suggestions?

To the best of my knowledge (I use an Apple Trackpad regularly), it has never been possible to access the Home Bar as you describe.
When using a Trackpad with iPad, you simply use a three-finger upward swipe:

The Home Bar is a feature of the touch UI (User Interface) used to rapidly switch between recently used App windows. Simply touch-and-hold the bar - then drag to the left or right to move between open App Windows.
Should you have some other difficulty, please provide more information as to the behaviour that you expect - and precisely what is (or isn't) happening.
On my iPad Air (11-inch, M2) with the Magic Keyboard, before 18.4, I could use the trackpad to place the cursor on the Home Bar to return to the home screen. With the installation of 18.4, the cursor, when applied to the Home Bar, has no effect at all - no changes. I have to use my finger to swipe up.
I cleaned the contacts between the keyboard and the iPad and rebooted the iPad multiple times. This did not resolve the problem.
