HomePod mini not providing news updates.

When asked for morning update, Siri will give the weather but then when it gets to the point where it normally gives me a CBC news summary it says it has a problem with Apple news broadcast.

So, I would usually just say, "Hey siri, what's the news?" and the HomePod would play the BBC News to me (I'm in the UK). No matter what now, it won't and keeps saying, "I found some web results, I can show you them if you ask again from your iphone." Rebooted router and HomePod, which haven't made any difference. I've not changed any settings on my HomePod for a very long time. HomePod software version 15.6. I'm not sure what the point of having a "smart speaker" in my house is, if I then have to ask the same question again from my phone? Thanks, M.

Sorry, there was a problem with Apple Podcasts - Homepod When asking Siri for my update, she fails to play the latest news and says “Sorry, there was a problem with Apple Podcasts”. This happens on Homepod and on iPhone. I’m in Canada and used to have CTV as my news source, which seems to be causing the problem. On iphone, it shows that the Newsflash episode is no longer available. When I ask Siri to change my news to CNN for example, she confirms the change but then tries to play CTV again when I ask for my update. Any help is appreciated.

Homepod 17.3 really slow comparing 17.2 New Homepod version 17.3 Siri is really slow answering when comparing to previous 17.2. When asking music Siri will always "thinking" and even asking pause takes many seconds more vs previous 17.2. Same when asking weather it takes about 5-10 seconds more time Siri to answer (when it even works anymore) What happened Apple? Did you slower the device again by software update. Nothing wrong with network and reboot does not help.

Try restarting it. From within the home app or by unplugging about 15 seconds
