HomePod Mini Won't Play News Updates

Something has changed in about the last 36 hours, but I can't figure out what.....

So, I would usually just say, "Hey siri, what's the news?" and the HomePod would play the BBC News to me (I'm in the UK). No matter what now, it won't and keeps saying, "I found some web results, I can show you them if you ask again from your iphone."

Rebooted router and HomePod, which haven't made any difference. I've not changed any settings on my HomePod for a very long time.

HomePod software version 15.6.

I'm not sure what the point of having a "smart speaker" in my house is, if I then have to ask the same question again from my phone?
