Play music without using my phone

I'd like to replace all my Alexa devices with HomePod, but it doesn't seem like I can play Sirius XM or Spotify on HomePod unless I use my phone. I want to be able to say, "Hey Siri, play Sirius XM 'Channel Name'" without having open the app on my phone. Is this possible? If not, I will return my HomePod and continue my search for an Alexa replacement.

"Looks like Apple Music can't play that" I just set up a stereo pair of brand new HomePod Minis. When I ask Siri to play one of the playlists I've assembled, it responds, "looks like Apple Music can't play that." When I use the Apple Music app on my phone and send the music to the HomePod Mini stereo pair via AirPlay, it works fine. Why can't I use Siri voice commands to play my playlists?

I have no problem playing Apple Music and Apple Podcasts on HomePod Minis without having my iPhone tethered to the speakers as the source via Airplay. But with the new Apple Music Classical App only option available to me is tethered stream from iPhone via Airplay to HomePod Minis. If I close the app on my iPhone, music stops on the HomePod minis. With Apple Music and Apple Podcast Apps playing over HomePods is not dependent on my iPhone.

it can play stuff you purchased from iTunes store

it can play apple music

it can play radio stuff from tuneIN

it can play music stored in the apple music match Subscribe to iTunes Match - Apple Support

other than that it can play what ios devices or computers airplay to it.
