Issue with A Record on iCloud Custom Mail Setup
Hello everyone,
I have set up a custom mail address on iCloud, and everything seems to be working fine regarding sending and receiving emails. However, when I tested my email configuration using mail-tester.com, I received a critical error related to A Record.
The error message stated:
We didn't find a server (A Record) behind your hostname p00-icloudmta-asmtp-us-west-1a-100-percent-0.p00-icloudmta-asmtp-vip.icloud-mail-production.svc.kube.us-west-1a.k8s.cloud.apple.com.
-We check if there is a server (A Record) behind your hostname p00-icloudmta-asmtp-us-west-1a-100-percent-0.p00-icloudmta-asmtp-vip.icloud-mail-production.svc.kube.us-west-1a.k8s.cloud.apple.com.
-You may want to publish a DNS record (A type) for the hostname p00-icloudmta-asmtp-us-west-1a-100-percent-0.p00-icloudmta-asmtp-vip.icloud-mail-production.svc.kube.us-west-1a.k8s.cloud.apple.com or use a different hostname in your mail software.
All of my DNS records were automatically added by Apple via Cloudflare. I have not manually added any DNS records myself, and I’ve verified that the DNS configuration, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, is correct, but the error persists.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Is there any way to resolve this problem, or is this something Apple needs to handle on their end?
Thank you in advance for your help!
