On my windows 10 pro PC i cannot upload a .ipa file to the iPhone with either latest iTunes or AppleDevices

Windows 10 Pro 22H2 2/12/2021

iPhone 8 iOS 16.7.10

iTunes 12.13.6.1

Apple Devices 1.5.2.70 (1.1282.17924.0)

I am trying to upload an iPhone App in a *.ipa file from a trusted source as part of a product development.

Last November '24, I was able to do this for another iPhone using iTunes after connecting with USB and logging in to both PC and phone by drag-and-drop to the iPhone icon.

Now with iTunes, this is broken.

iTunes is running on the PC, but no phone icon, and no Files icon in the Library list on the left.

I know the iPhone is connected to PC because I can see its icon and internal storage in a file explorer. No, it ignores any kind of drag-and-drop using File Explorer or any copy and paste by the PC.

I found a method on the Web to use the 'Apple Devices' App. That app is able to recognize the iPhone's presence, but it also has no method of dropping my file into the phone.

I am REALLY REALLY sick of these Apple and Wintel compatibility wars. JUST STOP IT!
