When IPhone is locked in VoiceOver mode and passcode entry is not working
There have been people who use the example of password 1234 to demonstrate how to enter the passcode correctly when in voice over mode, which may be misinterpreted as the number position in the passcode. Instead I will use an example passcode of 7263 to clarify that it's not the position of the numbers in the passcode that should be in your mind.
You have to tap once to select the number, then double tap outside the number area to actually enter that number.
E.g, to enter passcode 7469, navigate to passcode entry screen using standard Voiceover gestures and:
Tap once on 7, then double tap anywhere outside the number area to accept the entry of 7
Tap once on 4, then double tap anywhere outside the number area to accept the entry of 4
Tap once on 6, then double tap anywhere outside the number area to accept the entry of 6.
Tap once on 9, then double tap anywhere outside the number area to accept the entry of 9.
Once that is done you are back into your phone and then you can now ask Siri to "turn off voice over." Siri will only work after you're correctly logged in.
This method also applies to longer passcodes.
