can't connect local devices with my mac mini |

Good evening,

Every time I start up my Mac Mini M4 (after it has been completely powered off), my internet works fine—I can access everything online without any issues. However, I can't reach my local devices (see screenshot).

I’ve found a temporary solution: if I go to my network settings (System Settings → Network → Ethernet), disable Ethernet, and then enable it again, I regain access to my local devices.

This issue only occurs on my Mac Mini. Other devices on my network, such as my MacBook Air, iPad Pro, and even a Windows laptop, do not have this problem. So, it seems to be specific to the Mac Mini M4.

Additional info:

  • The firewall is turned off.
  • The Mac Mini is on the same network as the other devices, with no differences in configuration.
  • I haven't changed any settings—I wouldn't even know where or how to do so.
  • I've tested multiple browsers, and the issue persists across all of them.

The only current workaround is to disable and re-enable Ethernet, which immediately restores access to local devices.

Does anyone have an idea how to permanently fix this?
